Things we love…
“We highly recommend boat trips from the marina including dolphin watching trips and private yacht charter.”

Things to be aware of…
“Transfer by taxi is quite expensive as these resorts are further from Faro Airport but we can arrange hire cars at competitive rates which is a great way to explore this beautiful area from your villa in Lagos.”

When to Visit Lagos

Summer (June to August): Summer is the peak season for tourism in Lagos, offering warm temperatures and sunny skies that draw visitors from around the world. July is the hottest month, with an average daily maximum temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius and an average low of 21 degrees Celsius. This is the ideal time for beach lovers, as the sea is warm and tranquil, and numerous water sports and outdoor activities are available. However, it’s worth noting that this is also the busiest time of the year, and both the town and nearby attractions can get quite crowded, especially in August.

Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November): If you prefer a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere, spring and autumn are the perfect times to visit Lagos. During these seasons, you can enjoy milder temperatures, fewer crowds, and more budget-friendly prices. Beaches and outdoor activities are still enjoyable, and it’s much easier to secure reservations at your favorite restaurants. The reduced traffic and fewer people make exploration more convenient and enjoyable.

Winter (December to February): Winter in Lagos brings cooler temperatures compared to other times of the year and fewer tourists. While the local town and villages may not be as lively during this period, it’s an excellent time to visit if you enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or cycling. On sunny days, temperatures can still reach 15 degrees Celsius or higher. Moreover, winter is an opportunity to delve into the local culture and cuisine, as the resort’s numerous restaurants and cafes offer a variety of traditional Portuguese dishes. Some villas in the area also have heating to ensure a cosy and comfortable stay during the cooler months.

Ultimately, the best time to visit Lagos depends on your preferences and priorities. If you’re seeking a vibrant atmosphere and bustling nightlife, summer may be your preferred choice. For a more tranquil and relaxed vacation, consider spring or autumn. And if you’re looking for a winter escape with mild weather and favourable prices, Lagos can still offer a delightful experience, albeit with a quieter ambiance. Lagos truly has something to offer year-round, making it a versatile destination for all types of travellers.
