This 19th century farmhouse has been lovingly restored and carefully designed to create a sumptuous, Portuguese retreat. The owners have paid attention to every detail to ensure that guests have the most comfortable stay.

This beautiful renovation is an elegant fusion of the Minho Region charm and tradition, with contemporary furnishings and modern conveniences. Some of the of the original features have been retained, including the handmade plaster ceilings, wooden floors and stone terraces. Combined with the terracotta floors and exceptional outdoor furnishings, this is a truly unique rental property.

The formal and extensive gardens have enviable lawns and numerous areas for guests to relax in the shade or enjoy their meals outdoors. The large swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with large comfortable sun loungers. The first 2 metres of the pool are only 20cm deep to allow for guests to lie and cool off with ease. Set at the end of the property is an admirable Noria, kept in its original condition -  an ancient hydropowered mill used to lift water into an aqueduct.

The old fishing village of Esposende is just 1.3kms away, where there are lots of wonderful restaurants and cafes. The sandy beaches are only 3.4 kms away and they are reknowned for kite-surfing and other watersports. There are 2 padel courts only 800m from the villa. Padel is one of the fastest growing sports, especially in Portugal, where many people are falling for its addictive and fun qualities!

Additional Costs & Information

  • Pool Heating £294 per week. Minimum charge 1 week. Please note that we cannot guarantee the pool temperature. In general, pool heaters are installed and managed according to the size of the pool and health and safety guidelines but weather conditions, such as colder nights, rain and strong winds can affect the normally achievable temperature.
  • Although the villa has a flexible arrival day we cannot leave too many empty days between bookings. Please always check with us to make sure the dates you require are acceptable.
  • Booking deposit 30% of the villa rental or £250, whichever is the greater amount. Balance due 8 weeks before departure.

Refundable security deposit - 2024 - £450.00
