Stunning converted stone cottage close to the market town of Barcelos, with stunning country views
Villa Calvario is a fabulous renovation of an original stone cottage with all the modern comforts and facilities you would expect from a holiday villa. Situated within a ten-minute drive of the picturesque market town of Barcelos, this stone-built cottage went through a huge renovation project a few years ago.
The contemporary kitchen is open plan to the living room which has modern furnishings against original stone walls and doors opening out to the front terrace and pool area. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms, one of which may be suitable for someone with limited mobility.
The villa offers complete privacy and is set on a large plot with a beautiful enclosed garden with lawned area, spacious barbecue and outdoor kitchen area, heated swimming pool, children's paddling pool (not heated) and a sports area. There is also a tennis court that is perfect for engaging in friendly, casual matches. Please note that since it was photographed, the court has some areas that require maintenance, but it remains a great option for recreational play.
The garden is amazing with fruit trees, a vegetable garden, plants and flowers. Guests are welcome to pick fresh tomatoes and peppers to enjoy alfreso in the covered dining area, enjoying the views.

Things we love
“Porto is the perfect size to explore by foot. Visitors will love wandering down the alleyways full of history and nostalgia, or strolling across the famous Dom Luís I Bridge before sampling some of the delicious local Port wine!”
Things to be aware of
“While the cobbled streets add character to Porto’s historic neighbourhoods, they can be challenging for those with mobility concerns. Navigating the city involves hills and uneven surfaces, which might pose difficulties for individuals with limited mobility or those pushing strollers. We recommend you wear comfortable footwear when exploring the city.”
