Portuguese cottage on the edge of the Ria Formosa 

We are thrilled to be offering this adorable cottage in Pinheiro on the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. It is rare to find a property in such a special location, secluded and surrounded by nature. 

Guests can truly embrace their surroundings from the moment they wake to the sound of the sea and birds. A short stroll away is a walkway and cycle route on the lagoon's edge that leads to the salt pans and Fuseta and east towards the stunning beach of Barril. Also a short walk from the cottage is a fabulous fish restaurant, Os Fialhos, which is family friendly and open all year round.

The house itself is simple and full of character with three bedrooms and air conditioning throughout. The living room has comfortable leather sofas and a welcoming vibe with a wood burning fire for cosy nights in during the cooler months, and doors that open out to the garden. The kitchen is traditional and fully equipped and there is a delightful dining area which is conveniently open plan and perfect for entertaining.

The glorious outside area is abundant with plants and flowers. Glass doors lead to the alfresco area and there is a pretty garden, perfect for children to play in. A small slope leads to the pool area which has some areas of natural shade from the surrounding trees. The south facing terrace has stunning views over the lagoon, island beaches and the sea beyond. At night, as there is minimal light pollution here, guests are treated to a mesmerising spectacle of stars and the moon as they reflect off the sea.

Casa Blush is very close to Villa Moon, so, although different in style, would be a good choice for larger groups wanting to holiday near each other.
