Charming stone cottage in the countryside
Villa Fonte was restored and renovated in 2010 and is in an elevated position on a generous plot. This typical 'Minhota" granite stone house has terrific views across the unspoilt countryside, and is close to the roman town, Ponte de Lima.
Inside is unfussy and has a rustic and comfortable vibe. The living room opens out to the pool area and there is a lovely barbecue terrace for dining alfresco.
The pool area takes full advantage of the amazing views above the trees and beyond.
For a taste of Minho life, we recommend a visit to the oldest village in Portugal, Ponte de Lima. There you will find a XI century Roman bridge, central square, cathedral and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to dine and watch the world go by. The coast is only a 25 minute drive from here and Barcelos market town is about a 30 minute drive.
Please note, some of the images were taken before the fence was installed. Complete new set of photos coming soon.
