Mallorca Villa Holidays

Most of the properties we offer in Mallorca are in or around Pollensa Old Town, or the coastal Port de Pollensa.  Pollensa, also known as Pollença, is in the north of the island with charming, narrow streets and an impressive main square lined with cafés, restaurants and bars. Tucked between two hills, the town has managed to retain a truly authentic, Spanish feel; while many of its neighbours have perhaps been adversely affected by tourism, the emphasis here is on relaxation and enjoying nature.

Once a simple fishing port, Port de Pollensa (sometimes known as Puerta Pollença) is now a popular, family-friendly resort, with an intriguing claim to fame – Agatha Christie was inspired to set one of her Hercule Poirot mysteries here! The main beach runs along the front of Port de Pollensa and with the warm Mediterranean Sea, long stretches of sandy beaches lined by swaying palm trees and a great selection of restaurants and cafes to suit every taste and pocket, it is a hugely popular holiday destination.

Things we love…
“We particularly love the traditional Mallorcan fincas with stone walls, wooden beams and bags of charm, often with a mountain backdrop across vibrant green valleys.  The scenery is quite something.”

Things to be aware of…
“Away from the main, tourist areas there are some stunning and secluded beaches just off the beaten track which are well worth exploring but, remember, not all of them will have facilities so make sure you pack provisions like water and snacks just in case.”

How To Get To Mallorca

There are many ways to get to Mallorca, depending on your starting destination, budget, and preferences.

Plane

Palma de Mallorca Airport (also known as Son Sant Joan Airport) is an international airport 8 km east of Palma, Mallorca, with plenty of airlines operating flights to the island. Once there, visitors can book a taxi, hop on a bus, or hire a car to reach their accommodation.

We have a hire car partner located in the airport making vehicle hire straightforward and simple. They will collect you from the airport terminal and take you to their office, where you can complete any necessary paperwork. We provide GPS coordinates and instructions to reach your chosen villa, designed to be as simple as possible.

Taxi Transfers

For those who prefer a more relaxed arrival, we also offer taxi transfers with fully insured drivers who will drive you directly from the airport to your villa. Taxi prices are listed on each villa page.

Car

To get to Mallorca by car, you must take a ferry from one of the many mainland ports in Spain, including Barcelona, Denia, Valencia, and even Toulon in the south of France. The crossing durations vary depending on your starting point, and be sure to check that your chosen ferry service permits cars!

Bus

Similarly, to get to Mallorca by bus, tourists need to factor in a ferry trip. If travelling across Spain by bus, you may have to get a connecting service to the nearest ferry port of your choice.

Train

Many cross-country train service lines go directly to one of the many cities that offer ferry services to Mallorca. Tourists can hop off a train at Barcelona, Denia, Valencia, or even Toulon in France and grab a taxi or bus to the port, where the ferry awaits!

Boat

The second most straightforward way to reach Mallorca is by boat. Unless you’re flying, a sea journey is essential. Ferries depart from various locations in Spain and even the south of France, and travel times for the Genoa ferry range from around 6 hours to 37 hours.
